James College is one of the eight colleges which make up the University of York and is one of the largest colleges on campus.

James College Christian Union is a group of about fifty people who meet together weekly to study the Bible, pray and worship God. By doing these activities together and sharing our stories and experiences, the challenge of keeping, exploring and sharing one's faith, is made much easier.

All are welcome – whether you consider yourself a Christian or someone who wants to find out more about Christianity. On Tuesday evenings we first split into small groups to do bible studies, then come together to sing, catch-up and simply have a good time. For people who want an introduction to Christianity or who want to put their own views across, there is also a group that explores the basics of faith and the bible.

We currently meet at 6.45pm every Tuesday during term time at James Lakeside JCR for small groups, followed by big group at about 8.30pm. A trip to the bar after normally also happens! But please sign up to get up-to-date information. Our Facebook group also contains information.

On Saturdays at 7.30pm the Christian Unions from each of the eight colleges all meet together at a central location on campus – for more details about the University of York Christian Union see the website: www.uycu.org.uk.
